Product Description
⚠
Rooftop type resident photovoltaic systems have been widely used globally. However, due to loose module joints, poor contact, wire dampness, or insulation rupture, it is easy to cause DC arc drawing, resulting in fire risks. High voltage persists on the DC side as long as there is light, making manual firefighting dangerous.
To ensure personal safety and prevent fire risks, the ERS Rapid Shut-down Switch provides an essential safety layer. While string inverters have integrated DC isolators for maintenance, they cannot cut off the DC power (600~1500V) running from the roof to the inverter. In case of fire, the ERS firefighter safety switch detects grid failure and automatically turns off the isolation switch after 5 seconds, protecting emergency responders.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How quickly can I receive a quotation and detailed information?
A: All enquiries will be replied to within 24 hours.
Q: What is the difference between your DC Isolator and cheaper alternatives?
A: Our DC Isolators feature an IP66 rating and high-quality customization. For solar systems, we recommend comparing quality first to ensure long-term safety.
Q: Can I request a sample before placing a full order?
A: Of course! We believe sample orders are the best way to build trust and verify product quality.
Q: What are the delivery timelines for urgent orders?
A: Sample orders typically take 3-7 days. Regular bulk orders are promised within 15 days.
Q: What is the warranty period for the DC Isolator?
A: We offer a 2-5 year warranty depending on the specific product model.
Q: How do I choose the correct model of Rapid Shutdown Switch for my system?
A: Calculation Example: If each PV panel has an open-circuit voltage of 39V and the switch is rated for 1000V, each MPPT route can connect: 1000 / (39 * 1.15) ≈ 22 panels.
For a project with 162 panels:
- 162/22 = 8 sets of 2-pole switches (ERS-2)
- Or 4 sets of 4-pole switches (ERS-4)
- Or 2 sets of 8-pole switches (ERS-8).
Ensure the switch current rating is higher than your string current.
